Toyota Hiace is always viewed as a workhorse. nothing more and nothing less. It has been and hopefully always will be the major instrument for many companies in the role of cargo carrier, promotion, transporter,services and various other business purposes.
Many have agreed that this vehicle is among the best choice compared to the others that are available. But this is base on personal preferences. I am not saying that it is the only choice, considering the facts that in certain country it is and sometime a bit on the high side in terms of price. Maybe it is more on vehicle durability or maybe its more on the cost efficiency of the maintenance. Some have agreed on the looks of the vehicle.
There are also who see it as the many potential it holds or the many after-market options available.
What ever the reason that may be, it is my personal opinion that it is more than meets the eye. :)
(A bit cliché on my part. I love Transformers, so give me a break)LoL
The workhorse concept can be viewed at another standpoint. As we know, Japan has a totally different perspective over Toyota Hiace. And that particular style is changing the way others view on Toyota Hiace. In our previous sharing in our blog ,we have posted photos of the various option that is available in Japan.
This post is a tribute to Hiace in Malaysia.

It is still NEW and invitation are still open to all Owners from Malaysia to join.
The objective is to create a healthy community and to share information and also trade goods for Hiace.
It is also to inspire and generate more ideas for creative styling of home grown origin.
Taking into consideration that HIACE styling is an open source concept where it can be from D.I.Y or Customs origins and also aftermarket options, the whole styling concept can be anything depending on the creativity of the owners.
I believe with time, Hiace styling in Malaysia will have a more drastic change and hopefully we can see more vehicles with refreshing ideas and wonderful styles.

ReplyDeleteShould be no problem. Most of our members are doing it. Be it might be a problem during inspection at JPJ. Be sure to install it at a proper place.

ReplyDeleteHi, It is possible. One of our members has done the conversion on 2 vehicle. so far so good.It is also possible to buy a halfcut from the chopshop but i think it might be a bit on the high side.

ReplyDeleteBanyak option sekarang untuk sedapkan suspension dan banyak juga style. Ada yang dari Thailand, ada yang dari Japan dan ada juga option untuk buat di Malaysia.
DeleteBanyak absorber yang available sekarang bergantung pada budget.
Leaf spring belakang pun ada cara utk lembutkan jadikannya kurang bumpy.
Bergantung pada kegunaan van, boleh juga direndahkan supaya ada sedikit effect semasa corners.
Kalau nak di listkan parts untuk suspension hiace, terlampau banyak sangat.
Mcm mana cara lembutkan leaf spring?

Terpulang pade setiap orang. Kami pilih diesel kerana jimat. RM 100 boleh jalan 650km. Petrol memang senyap. Kalau untuk perniagaan Diesel lebih sesuai kerana memang menjimatkan.

ReplyDeletesetakat ini belum lagi yang buat campervan gunakan hiace di malaysia. Hiace memang sesuai untuk buat campervan small to medium size. Insyaallah akan ade jalannye nanti. Kami pun sebenarnye berminat dgn campervan sejak kami start blog ini. Mungkin kalau ade mase boleh berbincang lebih lanjut.

Saya ada sebiji Hiace LH 113, enjin 2.8 diesel automatic bukan van biasa tapi campervan yg diimport.Cadang nak jelajah europe dgn van ni cumanya belum sempat nak convert jadi 4wd. Saya perlukan input dari rakan-rakan yg punya hobi dan kenderaan yg sama supaya nanti boleh bertukar pandangan tentang macamana yg jadikan ia lebih selesa. Kalau ada rakan yg nak convert vannya jadi campervan boleh datang tengok saya punya yg memang diconvert oleh Toyota Jepun.

1) Hampir 65% ahli H.O.M adalah transporter dan perjalanan mereka boleh mencecah 8,000km ke 12,000km sebulan.
2) saya tak akan cakap atau banding tentang kenderaan lain tetapi yang saya boleh cakap adalah:
a- maintenance hiace agak rendah.
b-Enjin yang agak lasak dan system yang simple mudah untuk dikendalikan dan diuruskan.
c- Alat ganti senang untuk didapatkan di pusat servis Toyota. Kalau ada minat, performance part pun boleh didapatkan dari sumber tertentu.
d- Tiada masalah di sini tentang alat ganti atau quality kerana kenderaan ini agak popular dan sering digunakan di negara-negara asing juga.
3) Quality selalunya datang dengan tanda harga yang tinggi. Tetapi ia terpulang pada pembeli. " kalah membeli , menang memakai" .
Dari pandangan peribadi saya, hiace tak rugi tetapi kurang tempat duduk sahaja.
Harap pandangan saya boleh membantu untuk membuat keputusan.

Masalah saya....bila start enjin...tak kisah awal pagi ker atau bila2 pun...timing enjin memang TINGGI!!.....takkan turun....bila dah jalan lebih kurang 1/2jam atau lebih...timing enjin menjunam tiba-tiba...sehingga enjin mati terus....apa sebabnyer??
Minta pendapat sifu-sifu kita disini....
Masalah saya pun sama macam tu juga....timing enjin tinggi...tak kisah siang malam...Pomen saya berjaya detect masalahnyer..Karburator

Assalam bro,hiace sya ada problem steering gegar bila brek ketika kelajuan melebihi 100kmh.I da tukar rotor disc dan clapper pin but still sama problem.any idea?
ReplyDeleteIkut pengalaman, Selalunya ini problem yg datang dari brake system. Selepas tukar disc rotor problem semakin berkurangan. Mungkin boleh check brake pad juga.
