Hiace Super GL - Optimo Projects

Hello all,

Just to share a video we took recently after we have revised our ride height. Currently we are at 50mm down from the original height. Some say its not enough and there are some saying its good enough. We are satisfied with it since its suitable for our road condition. This is a daily driven vehicle so this is acceptable.

To go lower than this, we will consider going for Air suspension. 

L.E.D OEM Headlamp Project

Having L.E.D on a car is the trend nowadays. I think in mind that people wants that Audi front look or feel. Almost everybody wants to have at least a bit on their car.
In this matter I agree. It does make the car more interesting. But not TOO much. At first, we had plan to just swap the original lamp for the after-market ones and there are so many choices out there.
But.....trying new things is always good. so we decided to have a go at the original ones first and see what we could do to it.

This is a very wonderful event that happened in Tokyo.

We really wish that we could be there in person.

We are really thankful to all tuners in their effort in always developing more options so that fans can fully utilize their vehicle with 100% satisfaction. 

It is safe to say that more and more people are starting to realize this phenomenon not only in Japan but the rest of the world. Big Cheers to Hiace and Japanese Tuners. 

Really hoped that this video will at least satisfy our growing curiosity and love for Hiace.

Initial D, The Real Deal

I thought of sharing with all a few photos that i have. I was running around the storage recently until i found these photos. I like this car.......... but not too much as to own one, i cannot have it even if i wanted to.Given my situation now.......this would not be practical. :)
I did not get to know about this car until i watched Initial D anime.....and i think that most people are the same. I mean.........come on..... don't tell me that u guys know about this car since it was made. if that is the case.....then you must be around 40+ of age....hahhaha. All of sudden...everybody is an expert of Haschiroku.




All in all....it is a good looking car. Back in the days.....a lot of tune up option were available and still to this day. Some tuners i know are still making one-off parts for this car such as exhaust manifold etc.
Soon this car will be a unicorn and will be forever loved by anime fans and drift fans all over the world.
If drifting survive and Initial D is still ongoing.

Lowered down Silver Box

50 MM down for the Silver Box.
Seriously had thought about going further down but Malaysian road condition is not that suitable, 50mm is good enough. A solution to this matter would be a solid Air Suspension System.
Here is some photos of the comparison we made before and after installation.

Essex parts installation

Hello,

On this day we freed up some time for the installation. It was done by a friend of ours nearby our place. A very old business of about 15+ years and has been doing repair works for a lot of commercial vehicle. Toyota Hiace repair guru of some sort. Very old school and has a lot of questions regarding all this after-market parts.
The guy is always asking us " Why are you doing this to your van? Is it not enough?" and " Why do you need to lower the van?"

"Sorry uncle, I think you missed the point. My van is not the commercial type. It has to be different" I always told him with a smile.
But in the end he always got excited when seeing the result. :)

Malaysian still does not understand Hiace concept yet. But with luck and determination. They will soon come around to it. We still have a long way to go for us to get a club running.
We really wish to meet more enthusiast in Malaysia.

Here is an update on our progress. As usual i have been very busy with my work. But my long wait has just come to an end by the arrival of our suspension parts from Essex Japan we recently bought via Bridge Japan.

SUSPENSION SYSTEM TESTING AND DEVELOPMENT

We were given the opportunity to test out a set of suspension system by Amada Extreme from Thailand.
It was a big improvement compared to the stock suspension. Over 1200km of distance was covered during the test. Big thanks to Amada Extreme for their support. We are now ready to offer other Hiace owners this solution. There are 2 settings available: comfort and sporty.
